Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President

Agency Securities Lending (ASL) is a portfolio management tool that institutional clients can use to generate an attractive risk‑adjusted portfolio return on their fixed‑income and equity portfolios as well as cash positions. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early to mid‑career level trader of AVP level to join the ASL trading team based in London. With an expanding client base and dynamic management driving the business forward, this is a perfect role for someone to continue to assist with that momentum. You will predominantly trade the Fixed Income book but with a global perspective, utilising EMEA trading hours to maximise opportunities. A key focal point will be the lending of ASL clients European fixed‑income government and corporate bonds and the associated cash reinvestment requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximise revenue returns for client portfolios in the ASL programme and manage the trading execution of ASL Repo and Corporate securities.
  • Work with the ASL marketing team to price portfolios and assist with pitch material.
  • Provide market commentary / colour to management and ASL marketing team.
  • Collaborate with borrowers to establish the most effective lending and reinvestment strategy for ASL.
  • Adhere to all compliance and relevant restrictions at country/market/bank and client level and create a multi‑asset (fixed income, equity and cash invest) trading strategy.
  • Work alongside the ASL Global Trading Locations and Global Client Franchise.
  • Work with the ASL Global Product team to support technology solutions through internal deliveries and external vendor platforms.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of trading in the Securities Lending and Repo Market (essential).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office suites, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, both virtually/globally and on site.
  • Innovative, articulate and motivated in understanding the commercial opportunities as well as supporting and designing the ASL control framework across our products.
