You will be joining Deutsche Bank Group Strategic Analytics, playing a pivotal role in managing the release lifecycle of the strategic Kannon platform.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the structured Kannon release process, from initial code cut to bank‑wide production deployment, ensuring robust user acceptance and regression testing. Manage Kannon code branches and their respective deployed snapshots and builds, including defining release versions.
- Ensure the timely execution of release activities, including code cuts, patch management, UAT deployments, and regression tests, adhering to established timelines. Manage the integration of critical fixes (patches) into releases, ensuring all changes are thoroughly unit tested and impacted regressions are identified and documented.
- Coordinate with dependent applications on their release cycles to ensure Kannon consumes correct versions and manage resulting impacts or test failures.
- Oversee the regression testing cycle working with regression owners to set up tests, investigate issues, and escalate as needed. Manage regression workflows and sign‑off processes, including reviewing acceptable differences based on defined tolerance limits and ensuring proper approvals from various stakeholders.
- Provide clear, timely, and comprehensive updates on release status, issues, and patches to all relevant teams and stakeholders, including through email alerts and designated communication channels.
- Act as a point of escalation for release‑related issues, facilitating investigation, remediation, and resolution of systematic and batch‑specific problems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in release management within financial services or complex technical environments, adept at coordinating cross‑functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and handling critical incidents under pressure.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, version control systems (e.g., Git/Bitbucket), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
