Within Deutsche Bank’s Private Bank, the Investment Manager is a primary point of contact for our Turkish clients to access our entire suite of investment capabilities, insights and solutions. You will work in close partnership with our Emerging Europe and UK focused Relationship Managers in the day-to-day servicing of the clients, providing expert advice around investment opportunities, both long-term thematic and short-term tactical trades. As an Investment Manager you will have accountability for driving greater investment activity across our Turkish client base.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Act as the central point of contact for clients’ investment needs / advice and be responsible for increasing investment activity from existing clients.
  • Serve as strategic advisor on client’s overall investment portfolio, and drive holistic portfolio construction and asset allocation activities, delivering the CIO view to clients and ensuring portfolios are built and overseen accordingly.
  • Own overall suitability and appropriateness of all advised investments for the client; ensure that all corresponding checks are performed.
  • Collaborate closely with key internal partners and product specialists to deliver the firm’s best capabilities, solutions and investment thinking.
  • Proactively identify needs and corresponding opportunities to originate solutions across capital markets, discretionary mandates, advisory mandates and alternative investments.
  • Support the Relationship Managers in their new client acquisition efforts through participation in client pitches and showcasing Deutsche Bank Wealth Management capabilities.

Your skills and experience:

  • This role will be primarily supporting our Turkish clients and therefore fluency in Turkish language is essential.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of major asset classes including both traditional and alternative assets in both public and private markets.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Fluent in delivering a capital market outlook from both an investment strategist’s view (i.e., top down) and a manager’s view (i.e., bottom up) with the purpose of articulating why suggested allocations and solutions are appropriate for a given investment objective and market environment.
  • Professional qualification desirable eg CFA Charteholder or similar.
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
