Covering all aspects of the Business Finance engagement front-to-back: financial reporting and accounting, risk and P&L validation control, and management reporting within the Credit Financing business that is one of the largest business areas of the Investment Bank in scale of balance sheet and revenues. This role will cover UK-based review and control around Balance Sheet, P&L, Trade design, and Capital.Daily and month-end tasks, including review of P&L calculations to ensure appropriate transaction content and global policies application, balance sheet analytical review, disclosure and regulatory submissions, as well as Risk Weighted Assets for capital demand and counterparty credit Impairment reviews.The role involves working closely with the Front Office trading desks and structurers, Global Valuations Group, Market & Credit Risk Management, Operations, and wider Finance functions such as Group Finance and the Accounting and Regulatory Policy teams.Teamwork, guidance and coordination with the team extensions in Mumbai and Manila who are responsible for the P&L and financial ledger productions that are subject to UK-based validation and control review.Understanding and application of accounting/regulatory changes and updates. This coupled with IT development initiatives will mean involvement in a number of projects to improve and develop the controls and procedures which are already in place.Your skills and experienceExperience in product control, financial control, management accounting or a related Finance discipline within an investment banking or capital markets environment. An IFRS accounting qualification is required for the roleStrong knowledge of P&L and balance sheet control, including analytical review, substantiation, month-end close and investigation of material movements or discrepancies.Understanding of credit financing products—including loans, bonds, and derivatives —together with transaction structures, accounting treatment, capital, Risk Weighted Assets, impairment and regulatory reporting.Highly analytical and control-focused, with the ability to challenge outputs, identify root causes and implement effective, sustainable remediation.Confident communicator with experience building effective relationships across Front Office, Risk, Operations, Finance and international teams to deliver accurate outputs to tight deadlines.Experience supporting finance change and technology initiatives, using advanced Excel, automation and AI tools to improve controls, analysis, reporting and workflow efficiency while protecting confidential data and independently validating outputs.How we’ll support youCoaching and support from experts in your teamA culture of continuous learning to aid progressionWe value diversity and as an equal opportunities’ employer, we make reasonable adjustments for those with a disability such as the provision of assistive equipment if required (e.g. screen readers, assistive hearing devices, adapted keyboards)About usDeutsche Bank is the leading German bank with strong European roots and a global network.
