AMS is the world’s leading provider of Talent Acquisition and Management Services. Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service partners with Deutsche Bank to support contingent recruitment processes. We are looking for a Full Stack Java Developer for a 6 month contract based in the bank’s London office on a hybrid working model of 3 days per week in the office and 2 from home.

List of Responsibilities:

  • Planning, designing, and developing engineering solutions that help achieve business goals.
  • Building reliable and resilient solutions through thoughtful testing, continuous improvement, and quality reviews throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Promoting maintainability, scalability, accessibility, and reusability in engineering solutions.
  • Ensuring solutions are well-architected and effectively integrated into end-to-end business processes.
  • Reviewing engineering approaches and quality standards to encourage knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous enhancement of engineering capabilities.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges and deliver impactful outcomes.
  • Engaging with industry communities and forums to explore, share, and help drive the adoption of emerging technologies, tools, and best practices that create value for the Bank.

Skills Required:

  • Hands-on experience with Java 17 and modern Java development practices.
  • Proven expertise in Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and related ecosystem technologies.
  • Experience developing modern user interfaces using React and/or Angular.
  • Deep understanding of Microservices Architecture, including design, development, deployment, and support of distributed systems.
  • Experience with Cloud-Native Development principles and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Strong knowledge of API design, system integration, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience in Performance Engineering, application optimization, monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.

This client will only accept workers operating via a PAYE engagement model. AMS’s payroll service is in partnership with Giant, we have worked with them for many years and have good processes in place to ensure you get the best service. If you are successful in your application for this role, your contract will be via Giant.
