Financial and Regulatory Reporting Specialist – Qualified Accountant

Location: London

On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Financial and Regulatory Reporting Specialist – Qualified Accountant for a 6 month contract based in the bank’s London office on a hybrid working model of 3/4 days per week in the office.

Purpose of the role

This role supports Deutsche Numis’s Financial Reporting team during its integration into Deutsche Bank, focusing on year-end reporting, external audits, and financial oversight through entity wind-down. It’s a hands-on position within a small, collaborative team, ideal for someone adaptable and ready to contribute across varied tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of a set of financial statements for Numis Corporation Ltd and its UK subsidiaries.
  • Ensure the general ledger for each entity is complete and accurate and the balance sheets are fully substantiated.
  • Understand the reporting systems and processes to support the financial statements.
  • Plan and anticipate the requirements and respond to requests from the external auditor, EY and the Deutsche Bank finance team.
  • Work closely and build strong relationships with other support functions including treasury and operational finance team and the wider external auditors and Deutsche Bank finance team.
  • Support the Head of Risk in the deauthorisation and wind-down of the Numis UK entities.

  • Qualified Accountant.
  • Wind-down experience.
  • Technical accounting skills and experience of preparing consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
  • Self-starter with an attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive with the ability to effectively prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
