On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for an E2E Delivery Owner/Senior Agile Practitioner for a 6 month contract based in the bank’s London office on a hybrid working model of 3 days per week in the office and 2 from home.

We are seeking an E2E Delivery Owner / Senior Agile Practitioner with a strong technology delivery background to take end-to-end accountability for the delivery of complex software solutions within a regulated banking environment. This role sits firmly within the technology function (not change or transformation) and is best suited to someone who has previously worked as a Developer Lead, Technical Lead, or hands-on technical Project Manager, and has since moved into a senior delivery-focused role.

You will be working directly with onshore engineering squads to drive execution across the full SDLC, from refined requirements through development, testing, and safe production release.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and be fully accountable for end-to-end delivery of the team’s committed backlog, ensuring features are delivered on time and to production-quality standards.
  • Work hands-on with Developers, QA, Business Analysts, and DevOps/Platform teams to drive execution, resolve impediments, and manage technical dependencies across systems and platforms.
  • Facilitate all core Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives) with a strong focus on delivery outcomes rather than process for process’ sake.
  • Own release planning and execution, ensuring all technical, operational, governance, and audit requirements are met for safe and compliant production deployments.
  • Actively identify, manage, and mitigate delivery risks, dependencies, and blockers, shielding the squad from unnecessary external noise.
  • Partner closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure the backlog is well-defined, prioritised, refined, and ready for engineering execution.
  • Track and report on key delivery metrics, producing clear, data-driven status reporting and preparing high-quality presentation materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Bridge the gap between technology and business by translating complex technical delivery topics into clear stakeholder-level updates.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven hands-on delivery experience within a Tier-1 bank or similarly regulated financial institution, delivering complex technology solutions into production.
  • Strong understanding of on-premise and cloud-based delivery, ideally including Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Deep, practical experience leading cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams within environments subject to strict governance, change, and audit controls.
  • Solid technical grounding, with the ability to engage credibly with developers on design, build, testing, and deployment.
  • Understand CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and release processes.
  • Manage dependencies in hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
  • Demonstrable end-to-end SDLC ownership, including requirements, development, testing, release, and post-production stability.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Jira and Confluence, including configuring complex workflows, creating delivery dashboards and reports, and structuring effective knowledge bases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing clear, concise, senior-level decks and updates.
