DB Cargo UK is on an ambitious journey to become Europe’s leading rail logistics provider with a long‑term plan to shift traffic from roads, protect our climate and grow the economy. To achieve this, we are looking for Mobile Operatives to join us as part of our ground staff team. As a Mobile Operative you’ll be on the go each day by preparing our trains so they’re safe to go on their journey for our customers. Rail is one of the safest and most eco‑friendly means of transport. One freight train can carry enough materials to build 30 houses, replacing the equivalent of over 22 million truck movements every year and saving 7 million tonnes of carbon emissions. As a Mobile Operative you’ll directly contribute to reducing carbon emissions and shifting traffic from roads to the rail.
