Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
You’ll play a key role in keeping our Stoke site running safely and efficiently by carrying out planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance across plant, equipment, and infrastructure. From troubleshooting and repairs to supporting compliance and continuous improvement, you’ll help ensure everything operates to the highest standard with minimal downtime.
- Installing, maintaining, and testing site equipment and systems.
- Performing electrical work and general maintenance in line with safety standards.
- Managing maintenance schedules, inboxes, and records to keep tasks on track and compliant.
- Coordinating contractors, reviewing risk assessments, and managing permits to work.
- Overseeing fire safety activities, including alarm testing and fire drills.
- Managing maintenance inventory, parts orders, and equipment checks (LOLER, PUWER, PAT).
- Supporting project engineers and contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
- Proven background in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Multi‑skilled technician with a strong electrical bias and experience working with plant and machinery.
- Understanding of maintenance regimes, safety standards, and compliance with LOLER and PUWER.
- Ability to complete dynamic risk assessments and follow safe systems of work.
- Experience managing contractors, maintenance inventory, and maintenance systems.
- Strong problem solving and logical reasoning skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Current Electrical Accreditation and a relevant maintenance qualification.
