Detillens is an Emerging Leaders consultancy. We hire, train and deploy future leaders into client environments across financial services — from professionals at the start of their careers through to those with up to a decade of experience. We are currently seeking consultants for a financial services organisation, working in their finance division. This is an excellent role for a senior associate looking to take the next step in their career or for an AVP seeking a new challenge. The opportunity offers excellent progression opportunities as well as the support of our leadership & development scheme.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the preparation and submission of all required sustainability disclosures for legal entities, ensuring they meet regulatory expectations and internal quality standards.
  • Managing assurance activities across second‑ and third‑line functions—such as internal audit, external audit, and independent review teams—and ensuring all follow‑up actions are monitored and completed.
  • Designing, implementing and maintaining Finance‑owned processes, policies and a robust risk‑and‑controls framework for sustainability reporting, supported by clear governance and RACI documentation.
  • Taking ownership of the sustainability regulatory inventory and leading assessments to determine which entities are in scope for both existing and emerging reporting requirements, including documenting key judgments.
  • Overseeing the sustainability data dictionary and ensuring key data definitions remain aligned with enterprise‑wide data governance standards.

Key Requirements:

  • A solid background in financial control, with hands‑on experience producing regulated disclosures within a structured control environment.
  • A professional accounting qualification, combined with strong analytical capability and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience developing or operating risk and control frameworks, including governance processes and documentation standards.
  • Strong stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple business areas.
  • Familiarity with major sustainability reporting frameworks and regulatory standards.
  • Experience working with data governance principles, data dictionaries and control requirements for both narrative and numerical reporting.
  • Proven ability to coordinate assurance activities and oversee remediation efforts across first, second and third lines of defence.
  • Experience leading change or implementation initiatives, including developing training content and delivering communications to senior audiences.
