Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

Compensation: £32,000 – £34,000 per year

Key Duties

  • Installation and commissioning of battery‑operated security solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with site managers and DeterTech ARC to ensure information flow.
  • Maintain deployed solutions through battery maintenance, camera reconfiguration, cleaning and servicing.
  • Minimise false triggers during installation and maintenance.
  • Prepare and load all equipment, parts and spares into the business vehicle before each appointment.
  • Deploy, position and secure equipment on site; fit, display and remove company signage.
  • Conduct quality checks after repairs and maintenance to meet safety and performance standards.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and service requests regarding equipment issues.
  • Remove off‑hire equipment and safely pack it into the company vehicle.
  • Train customers and end‑users on proper operation, maintenance and safety protocols.
  • Deliver workshops and training sessions to enhance customer knowledge.
  • Analyse complex technical issues and propose effective solutions to restore functionality.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to address recurring problems and improve equipment design.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with clients.

Professional Experience and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience as a field engineer or in a similar role.
  • Experience in telecoms, satellite, electronics, gas and electrics or a relevant engineering background.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • CSCS training and H&S training desirable.
  • Knowledge of wiring, electronics, soldering and experience in alarm installations desirable but not essential.
