What’s expected of you? The Trainee QHS Officer is responsible for supporting the management of quality, health, and safety processes across the organisation. The role involves carrying out inspections, audits, and compliance checks, supporting document control, and assisting with risk management. This position is suitable for trainees looking to develop expertise in quality, health, and safety management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly office and production area inspections.
- Carry out monthly water quality checks.
- Support and perform internal audits.
- Review and create risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
- Assist with document control reviews.
- Support closure of non-conformances and audit actions.
- Participate in internal and external audit follow-up activities.
- Prepare and disseminate monthly safety communications.
- Support compliance with RISQS / Rail standards.
- Support production quality assurance activities.
- Ensure preventive maintenance (PPM) records are accurately maintained.
- Assist with change management processes.
- Support legal compliance by assisting with updates and tracking legislative changes.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- A keen interest in quality, health, and safety management, with a willingness to learn and develop practical skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and quality standards is desirable.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in health and safety, quality, or environmental management are desirable but not essential for trainee positions.
- Driving license may be required depending on site visits.
- Ability to travel to our other facilities within Europe if required.
