About the role: Our Supported Accommodation services offer specialised housing solutions for individuals who are homeless and tackling substance or alcohol misuse issues. In your role, you will support our customers on their recovery journey, with the goal of helping them transition into their own tenancies and live independently. Everyone we support is committed to achieving abstinence or participating in a detox program. Our services provide an ideal environment for recovery, featuring tranquil surroundings and beautiful gardens. This is a highly engaging and rewarding role where you would play a significant part in the people we support’s journey to recovery by delivering the crucial support needed within a 24-hour support setting.

Day to day duties:

  • Engaging and interacting with the people we support
  • Creating support plans with customers to support them in achieving their goals
  • Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
  • Liaising with external agencies
  • Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have
  • Wellbeing checks
  • Ensuring the building is secure including health & safety checks and maintaining an awareness of who is in the building

Skills and Experience Needed:

  • A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
  • An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
  • A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
  • Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
