Key Responsibilities:
- Sound understanding of freight forwarding operations and logistics capabilities for ocean import & export.
- Ability to interact at all levels.
- Managing reports and providing clients with regular updates on costs, opportunities and contract performance.
- Customs clearance documentation experience would be advantageous.
- Coordinate sea freight quotes and bookings from initial request through to final delivery, selecting the most suitable services and routes.
- Source and review supplier rates from carriers, NVOCCs, co-loaders and overseas agents, ensuring accurate pricing and margins.
- Arrange collections, book cargo, and monitor shipments through key milestones while keeping customers and internal teams informed.
- Prepare and check shipping documentation, support import/export customs clearance, and issue booking confirmations or arrival notices when required.
