About the company

Our client is a national food manufacturer with various specialist sites across the UK who is looking to add a Maintenance Engineer. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all plant equipment to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the sites production and intake systems – minimising downtime and supporting business objectives.

Maintenance Engineer – Requirements

  • A recognised qualification or apprenticeship in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Previous experience in an engineering role, preferably within the food or drink sector.
  • A strong understanding of safety procedures, quality control, and KPI management.
  • The ability to deliver both short-term fixes and long-term engineering solutions.

Maintenance Engineer – Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns or interruptions, escalating where necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement by reviewing current processes and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality.
