About
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this day-shift position plays a key role in providing engineering support to our production team, ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently and the repair of all plant equipment.
The Details
- Salary β Β£40,000
- Company Vehicle
- 4 on, 3 off (Thursday-Sunday or Friday-Monday, 4 x 10-hour shifts)
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Maintenance Engineer β Requirements
- A recognised qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical engineering.
- Time-served qualification and minimum 2 years\β experience in a maintenance engineering role.
- Strong working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems.
- Experience with product transfer systems (elevators, drag-chain, auger feed systems).
- Skilled in troubleshooting and fault-finding.
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Mechanically biased background preferred.
Maintenance Engineer β Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Perform planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance tasks in line with maintenance systems.
- Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, conducting root cause analyses.
- Provide technical support for production and quality processes.
- Maintain accurate shift records and documentation.
- Deliver detailed breakdown reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and standards.
