Are you an experienced Air Quality Consultant looking to take the next step in your career? We’re working with a leading multidisciplinary environmental consultancy seeking a talented Senior or Principal Air Quality Consultant to join their growing team across the North West.
You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects, from infrastructure and energy to development planning, while mentoring junior staff and shaping the future direction of a respected and forward-thinking consultancy.
Requirements- A degree (and ideally postgraduate qualification) in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Proven consultancy experience in air quality assessment, ideally within the UK market.
- Strong understanding of air quality legislation, planning, and permitting frameworks.
- Proficiency with dispersion modelling software (e.g., ADMS, AERMOD).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- For the Principal level – demonstrable leadership, business development, and project management experience.
- Manage and deliver air quality assessments for planning and permitting projects.
- Lead air dispersion modelling using ADMS, AERMOD, or similar tools.
- Provide technical input and quality assurance across a wide range of environmental assessments.
- Liaise with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support business development, proposal writing, and client relationship management.
- Mentor and guide junior consultants, fostering technical excellence and growth.
- Be part of a collaborative, supportive, and technically excellent team.
- Work on nationally significant and high-profile projects.
- Enjoy a flexible, hybrid working environment.
