DETAIL PRECISION ENGINEERING LIMITED is a sub-contract machining company specializing in 3, 4, and 5 axis milling and upto 11 axis turning services.
Due to an increasing order book, Detail Precision Engineering are looking for fulltime CNC Lathe Setter/operators.
We are a progressive small to medium sized engineering company based near Hinckley, Leicestershire, manufacturing high quality precision components for top level Motorsport (including F1 teams), electronics, oil and gas and Marine industries.
We have recently invested heavily in new machinery, including state of the art CNC technology and the role is varied and stimulating
Reporting directly to the Works Manager, you'll be responsible for producing small to medium batch work.
Specifically you will be
- Setting Fanuc CNC Lathes in a fast moving, sub contract environment
- Accurately producing components to drawing tolerance and specifications
Qualifications
- Strong CNC turning experience, including machine setting, operating, and basic program editing.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools (e. g., micrometers, verniers, gauges).
- Background in precision engineering or manufacturing, preferably with experience in multi-axis machining environments.
- Understanding of machining materials, cutting speeds & feeds.
- Attention to detail, commitment to quality, and adherence to health and safety practices in a workshop setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant engineering apprenticeship, vocational qualification, or equivalent hands-on industry experience
- Flexibility to support overtime when required to meet customer deadlines.
Machines are various turning centres with up to 11 Axis, all machines are Fanuc controlled.
You will be offered a good basic salary (dependant on experience) based on a 39 hour week with paid overtime.
Core hours are Monday - Thursday 7.00am - 5.15pm or Monday - Thursday 7.00am - 4.00pm Friday 7.00am - 12.00pm
