We are working with an established food manufacturing business seeking an Engineering Team Leader to lead the maintenance function within a fast-paced production environment. The role is responsible for ensuring high equipment reliability, minimising downtime, leading a team of maintenance engineers, and driving continuous improvement across engineering operations. Working closely with Production, Quality, Health & Safety, and other site functions, you will ensure engineering activities support operational performance, compliance, and long-term asset reliability.

Responsibilities & Requirements
- Previous engineering experience within a chilled food manufacturing or FMCG production environment
- Experience leading or supervising engineering teams in a manufacturing setting
- Experience managing engineering KPIs, maintenance planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with CMMS systems, engineering stores, and spare parts management
- Experience working within customer-focused manufacturing environments
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Effective problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Promote collaboration across Engineering, Production, Hygiene, Quality, and Health & Safety teams to improve operational performance and food safety
- Lead and support the day-to-day activities of the maintenance engineering team, ensuring effective delivery of planned and reactive maintenance
- Act as the engineering lead during operational incidents, ensuring effective communication and escalation
