Our client is a well-established FMCG manufacturer looking to recruit a Shift Maintenance Engineer. You will play a key role in ensuring maximum uptime and efficient operation of the production plant. You'll be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and ensuring full compliance with Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, and Health & Safety statutory requirements.

- Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days and Nights, 6am- 6pm, 6pm - 6am)

Requirements
- Background in electrical or mechanical engineering (highly desirable)
- Experience in a production, engineering or manufacturing environment
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
- Experience in boiler maintenance
- Excellent Health & Safety awareness
- Good COSHH awareness
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond effectively to plant breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Ensure the plant is returned to service as quickly and safely as possible
- Support long-term repair planning alongside the Engineering Manager where short-term fixes have been applied
- Complete daily and weekly boiler maintenance tasks
- Carry out electrical maintenance in compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations
- Inspect, maintain, and work safely on pressure systems including steam, condensate, and air
- Safely isolate plant to allow colleagues and contractors to carry out work and cleaning activities
- Assist and supervise contractors as required
- Issue Permits to Work and Isolation Certificates, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly
- Communicate spare parts usage and requirements to ensure availability for future repairs
