We are looking for a proactive and organised Transport Coordinator to support the daily operation of our transport function in Penrith. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of goods while driving high service standards and continuous improvement. You will assist in overseeing the day-to-day transport operation, ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in full (OTIF) while maintaining compliance with all legal, company and industry standards.

Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good standard of secondary education
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Understanding of Drivers' Hours and transport compliance
- Good geographical knowledge
- Experience using Paragon scheduling (Desirable)
- CPC National qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
Responsibilities
- Support the daily transport operation to ensure customer SLAs are consistently achieved
- Manage the live ("in-flight") operation, including post-journey driver debriefs and performance analysis
- Ensure effective resource management in line with contractual hours, Working Time Directive (WTD) and EU Drivers' Hours legislation
- Liaise closely with Transport Planners to ensure schedules are achievable, compliant and cost-effective
- Manage relationships with approved third-party hauliers to ensure service standards and cost control
- Investigate complaints and non-conformances within agreed timescales
- Maintain accurate records and system data (including Tachomaster, Paragon, Fleetboard, Integrum, SAP and TUS)
- Support the Transport Manager with O Licence administration and OCRS management
