Our client is a well-established FMCG manufacturer looking to recruit a Shift Technician to support both maintenance and production, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations across the site.
This position is ideal for:
- A qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer
- A multiskilled technician with strong mechanical and electrical skills
Reporting to the Production Manager, this is a hands-on role with responsibility for maintenance, engineering, and operational performance during your shift.

Requirements:
- Background in electrical or mechanical engineering (highly desirable)
- Experience in a production, engineering or manufacturing environment
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
- Ability to make confident decisions in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage all mill operations and engineering requirements while on shift
- Oversee and ensure timely maintenance of plant and equipment
- Ensure all H&S duties are fulfilled, maintaining compliance with ISO 45001
- Deliver the production plan on time, within cost targets, and to the required efficiencies
- Maintain product quality to the highest standards and comply with requirements
- Ensure machinery and systems are operated for optimum performance
- Conduct weekly H&S inspections in line with the site plan
- Ensure hygiene and housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the shift
- Uphold all site standards, following UFAS code of practice
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 environmental management systems
- Act as the responsible person for the full site out of hours
