Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this day-shift position plays a key role in providing engineering support to our production team, ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently and the repair of all plant equipment.

Maintenance Engineer - The Details

  • Salary - Β£42,000
  • 4 x 10-hour shifts
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Maintenance Engineer - Requirements

  • A recognised qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Time-served qualification and minimum 2 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role.
  • Strong working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems.
  • Experience with product transfer systems (elevators, drag-chain, auger feed systems).
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and fault-finding.
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanically biased background preferred.

Maintenance Engineer - Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Perform planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance tasks in line with maintenance systems.
  • Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, conducting root cause analyses.
  • Provide technical support for production and quality processes.
  • Maintain accurate shift records and documentation.
  • Deliver detailed breakdown reports and recommend corrective actions.
