We are working with a growing, multi-site operational business who work within safety-critical environments across the UK. While it maintains a solid health and safety record, it recognises there are gaps and opportunities to strengthen the approach as the business continues to scale. This is the first dedicated Health & Safety hire for the business, offering significant scope to shape, embed and evolve the function!

Health & Safety Manager - The Details
- Paying between £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience

Health & Safety Manager - Responsibilities & Requirements
- Leading and developing the Health & Safety framework, policies and procedures
- Assess existing Health & Safety practices, identifying gaps and prioritising improvements
- Supporting operational teams working in high-risk environments, including confined spaces
- Working closely with branch management to embed safety systems
- Develop and manage H&S training programmes, including inductions and refresher training
- Support and manage accident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
- Lead internal audits and support external audits and accreditations
- Contribute to ISO 9001 alignment and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong Health & Safety background within industrial, utilities, engineering, manufacturing, or similar environments
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and structured management systems
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, balancing compliance with operational practicality
