Steel Fixer – Construction – Belfast – Up to £14.00 per hour About the company We are working with a specialist manual materials company with a strong brand across the UK & Ireland who are seeking an experienced Steel Fixer to join their growing team. Steel Fixer – The Rewards Salary up to £14.00 per hour (£29,000 per annum) 12 hour shift pattern 4 day week – Mon, Tues, Fri & Sat (6am – 6pm with Saturday being 6am – 5pm) 3 day week – Tues-Thurs (6am – 6pm) Payable shift allowance On-site parking Steel Fixer – Requirements Must have previous experience within a manufacturing or construction industry Must have experience in steel fixing/steel tying Skilled in tying rebar securely with wire ties and hand tools, ensuring proper positioning Previous experience on civil engineering projects – desirable Good understanding of Health & Safety Ability to lift and handle heavy objects Ability to identify and address on-site issues, such as misalignments or obstacles Effective time management to keep projects on schedule Clear communication with supervisors, site managers, and team members regarding drawings and instructions Steel Fixer – Responsibilities Position and secure steel reinforcement bars or reinforcement steel mesh to reinforce concrete structures Read and interpret reinforcement plans/drawings Position reinforcement ready for concrete pours Cut and tie rebar steel reinforcing to the required drawing specification Comply with the Health & Safety management system as laid down in OHSAS: 18001 and the company rules Comply with the quality management system as laid down in ISO: 9001 Liaise with quality control and quality assurance to maintain high quality standards Comply with the environmental management systems as laid down in ISO: 14001 Adherence to the daily production plan e.g., rebar steel reinforcing prepared Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
