Our client is an established and leading independent manufacturer of speciality products for a wide variety of industrial applications. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across departments including Production, Engineering, Quality, and R&D, to support the optimisation of existing processes and assist in the introduction of new products. Requirements
- A degree (BSc or equivalent) in Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- A strong interest in chemical manufacturing and process development.
- Good understanding of fundamental chemical principles and reaction mechanisms.
- Industrial placement or internship experience in a manufacturing or lab environment.
- Basic understanding of process safety, regulatory compliance (REACH, COSHH), or analytical techniques.
- Ability to work on a COMAH site and pass an enhanced DBS check.
Responsibilities
- Conducting laboratory-based experiments to support proposed process changes.
- Supporting the scale-up of new products from laboratory or pilot plant to full-scale production.
- Helping to analyse production data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Receiving training and development opportunities, including potential involvement in process safety assessments and customer communication as your experience grows.
