About the company Our client is a speciality chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturer based in the West Midlands who are looking for a Polymer & Formulation Chemist. This is an exciting role with a long-established, innovative chemical manufacturer with a proud history and a strong future. You\’ll work on the synthesis, testing, and development of novel rubber accelerators and polymer compounds for global markets. Polymer Chemist – Requirements Degree (or equivalent) in Applied Chemistry, Elastomer Technology, or related field. Laboratory experience (rubber/polymer knowledge an advantage, but not essential). Strong analytical skills with excellent written and verbal communication. A hands-on, problem-solving approach with a genuine passion for materials science. Polymer Chemist – Responsibilities Synthesise novel rubber accelerators and develop new polymer compounds for a variety of applications. Conduct research, experimentation, and analysis on new and existing materials. Perform analytical and physical testing of rubber products and interpret results. Provide technical support to production, quality control, and sales teams. No rubber experience? No problem – full training provided, including a Diploma in Rubber Technology.
