Overview of the Job
To supervise our warehouse operations, we are looking for a committed and skilled warehouse manager. The ideal applicant will be in charge of making sure that all warehouse operations, such as order fulfilment, inventory control, and logistics, are managed effectively. Strong knowledge of business procedures and warehouse management systems is necessary for this position, as is the capacity to manage a team.
Duties
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, making sure that safety and operational guidelines are followed.
- Utilise warehouse management technologies to maintain inventory levels in order to maximise stock control and reduce waste.
- Work together with third-party logistics (3PL) suppliers to guarantee prompt delivery and transportation of the items.
- Put efforts for continual improvement into action to lower expenses and increase operational efficiency.
- Develop and train warehouse employees while encouraging a culture of responsibility and teamwork.
- Oversee the upkeep of all machinery, including forklifts, to make sure it is operating safely.
- Work together with supply chain teams to enhance service quality and expedite procedures.
- Compile warehouse performance metrics reports for top management’s consideration.
Experience
- Shown expertise in warehouse management or a related position in a logistics setting.
- Strong familiarity with transportation and warehouse management systems.
- Demonstrated aptitude for team management and employee supervision.
- Knowledge of the business procedures involved in logistics and supply chain management.
- It is quite advantageous to have prior experience putting continuous improvement ideas into practice in a warehouse.
