Our well-respected City of London accountancy practice is looking to recruit a Trainee Accountant to join our growing team.
This role offers the prospective individual the chance to gain hands on experience working with a wide range of clients across a number of different industries.

Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping, payroll and VAT returns.
- Managing financial management and keeping electronic documentation systems.
- Preparation of statutory financial statements from source data/trial balances.
- Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting.
- Responding to internal and client enquiries on financial data.
- Preparing tax calculations and returns.
- Direct contact with clients and supporting senior personnel and managers.
- Compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Skills and Experience
- Academic background in Accounting or Finance (degree level or similar).
- Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Experience with accounting software packages such Sage, Xero and Quick Books is desirable.
- Experience in payroll, personal tax or corporation tax processes would be an advantage.
- High level of attention to detail and correctness.
- Great time management and organising abilities.
- Clear, professional and excellent written and vocal communication skills.
- Friendly and self-assured while dealing with clients.
- Ability to operate both independently and in a team.
