The Team Leader (Retail) will lead by setting a high standard for the shop and inspiring the team to deliver it. They will be responsible for the customer experience, improving customer happiness and developing brand loyalty by driving performance and growth through great operational and commercial execution.
SKILLED WORKER VISA: selected candidates will be given with VISA SPONSORSHIP. According to present UK Law, sponsorship can only be done for those who are already on a skilled work visa. Graduate visa holders and student visa holders need not apply.
Responsibilities
- Recruitment/induction and training/development of staff as per the company’s training needs
- Preparing and running the worker rota
- Everyday banking, matching orders and checking deliveries
- Prepare necessary documentation related to stock and sales
- Prepare staff timesheets and payroll
- Reduce waste and control cash balances
- Ensure full conformity to company and council guidelines
- Stock control and inventory management to include weekly stock taking and reporting
- Review the Weekly Sales & Inventory Report for Business Betterment
- Direct and perform housekeeping duties including store cleanliness and presentation
- Implement marketing material in stores in line with campaigns
- Make sure safety procedures are followed to prevent injury
- Offer a safe workplace for employees and customers
- Encourage staff to promote a high level of customer service
- Manage unresolved and/or escalated customer complaints
- Provide a high level of service in products, sales, queries and client requirements
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum one year relevant work experience
- Experience in retail management and team leadership
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure while paying attention to detail
- Proactive attitude towards problem solving and decision making in team settings
