We are recruiting a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant (Tier 2 Work Permit) to be part of our healthcare team. The successful candidate will assist chemists in the dispensing of medication, delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining the efficient running of pharmacy services. This role is ideal for someone with pharmacy technician experience or who is looking to grow their abilities in a professional healthcare setting. This is a paid position open to anyone with a Tier 2 work permit.
Duties
- Help chemists prepare and dispense prescribed medicines accurately and effectively.
- Support medicine delivery processes under supervision, following safety requirements.
- Respond to concerns, advise on medicines and help with health promotion initiatives, providing empathetic patient care.
- Keep precise records of medicine stock levels, expiry dates and inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organised pharmacy environment to a high standard in accordance with health and safety rules.
- Provide administrative support such as data entry, filing and processing prescriptions as needed.
- Partner with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar function in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of procedures for administration of medications and patient care practices.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail and precision.
- Excellent communication skills, showing empathy and professionalism when dealing with patients and team members.
- Ability to operate well both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must have a valid Tier 2 work permit.
- Commitment to privacy and regulatory compliance for healthcare settings.
