We are looking to add a caring and committed Support Worker to our team. The ideal applicant will be essential in delivering excellent care and assistance to people with different requirements, such as those suffering from dementia and other illnesses. This role necessitates a dedication to improving our clients’ quality of life by compassionate treatment and clear communication.
Duties
- Assist with personal care and everyday life tasks, such as clothing, grooming, and bathing.
- As directed by a physician, provide medication and maintain accurate records.
- Make wholesome meals based on each person’s dietary needs.
- Help clients move around, including carrying heavy objects if needed.
- Use behaviour management techniques to assist clients who exhibit difficult behaviours.
- Provide emotional support and company to improve the wellbeing of your clients.
- Keep the area tidy and secure for customers at all times.
- Work together with nurses and other medical professionals to make sure that complete care plans are adhered to.
- To improve skills, take part in first aid and other pertinent training courses.
Qualifications
- It is desirable if you have prior experience working as a support worker or a similar role.
- It is quite good to be knowledgeable about dementia care procedures.
- First aid certification is advantageous.
- It helps to have prior experience administering medications.
- Excellent patient care abilities and the capacity to function well in a hospice or assisted living environment.
