To join our expanding IT team, we are seeking a competent and aggressive Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). The chosen applicant will be in charge of upholding our systems and infrastructure’s dependability, scalability, security, and performance while assisting with automation and continuous improvement projects. In order to guarantee high system availability and operational efficiency, the position requires tight communication with the development, DevOps, infrastructure, and support teams.
Responsibilities:
- Track, maintain, and enhance system performance, availability, and dependability.
- Assist with deployments, production settings, and cloud infrastructure.
- Use scripts and tools to automate operational operations and increase system efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve network, application, and infrastructure problems.
- Collaborate closely with development and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment procedures.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident management systems.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, patching, and system updates.
- Ensure systems adhere to operational, security, and compliance best practices.
- Encourage scalability enhancements, performance tweaking, and capacity planning.
- Participate in knowledge sharing, operating processes, and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with managing Linux and Unix systems.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like GCP, AWS, and Azure.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools including GitLab CI, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of containerisation technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Proficiency with Python, Bash, or comparable programming languages.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of infrastructure, security, and networking principles.
Preferred Requirements:
- A degree in software engineering, computer science, IT, or a similar discipline.
- Prior work experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- It is beneficial to have knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
