Senior Care Assistant to join our respected care facility.
The role involves supervising care personnel, developing and implementing individual care plans, and ensuring residents receive high quality, person‑centred care.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support care personnel to provide compassionate, person‑centred care within corporate policies and procedures.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as personal care, ambulation, nourishment and medication administration.
- Develop, review and implement individualised care plans with residents, their families and healthcare experts.
- Use IT systems effectively to accurately monitor care activities and resident progress.
- Communicate effectively with residents, relatives, team members and external health care providers to develop a collaborative approach to care.
- Lead by example in creating a good environment that encourages dignity, respect, and independence for residents.
- Follow health and safety policies and procedures including infection control procedures.
- Provide support to the organisation’s leadership team by monitoring worker rotas, training sessions and performance reviews as appropriate.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or elder care environment.
- Nursing background is a plus.
- Supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with residents, family and team members.
- Proficient IT skills to maintain accurate records and update care plans.
- Valid driving licence preferred to support transport needs of residents or staff.
- Knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures and health & safety standards pertinent to senior care.
