The day‑to‑day work of a maintenance person can vary greatly, from painting a wall one day to fixing a central heating system the next. Driving to other satellite accommodations across Manchester for repairs may be required.
Your Normal Duties Include:
- Changing light bulbs and ensuring fixtures and fittings are in excellent working order.
- Rewiring, changing fuses, junction boxes, etc.
- Small plumbing and carpentry.
- Cleaning general areas and old service user rooms.
- Moving furniture or equipment.
- Putting together furniture or equipment.
- Garden/landscape installation and maintenance.
- Footpath upkeep.
- Painting and decorating.
- Cleaning and clearing rooms.
- Property exterior maintenance during the seasons.
- Maintaining property inside over the different seasons.
Requirements:
- Valid UK driving licence.
- 1 year mandatory experience in maintenance.
- Employer reference and/or character reference.
- Ready for full‑time, permanent role Monday through Friday, 09:00 – 17:00.
