TNA Bros Wholesale is looking for a skilled Butcher to join our team. The successful candidate will prepare and process meat products to customer specifications for takeout, restaurant and food service customers. The work also involves deliveries and upholding high levels of food cleanliness and customer service.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Clean, prepare and debone mutton carcasses to company and client specifications.
  • Cut and portion chicken items according to needed criteria.
  • Prepare and process red meat and poultry products for takeout, catering, and restaurant consumers.
  • Ensure all meat products comply with quality, presentation and food safety guidelines.
  • Drive corporate van to deliver and transfer merchandise to customers.
  • Confirm delivery orders and verify clients receive the correct merchandise.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer connections and answer any delivery related queries.
  • Ensure all items are handled, stored and transported in line with food hygiene requirements.
  • Assist with stock control and quality control as required.
  • Work locations, tools, machinery and equipment must be cleaned thoroughly at the end of each shift.
  • Comply with all health and safety procedures in the workplace.

Requirements:

  • Experience in butchering, including deboning and preparing meat.
  • Ability to prepare mutton, beef, lamb, poultry and other meat products to exact spec.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • 25 years of age or older (Insurance required for company car).
  • Good knowledge of Food Hygiene and Food Safety Regulations.
  • Ability to work productively in a fast paced wholesale setting.
  • Attention to detail and quality is highly valued.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Dependable, diligent and works well with others.
