About the Job: We want to hire a Care Worker or Support Worker that is kind, dependable, and has a lot of experience to join our growing team. You will help adults and/or young people with autism, learning difficulties, and mental health problems reach their goals and stay independent.
Main Duties:
- Give care and assistance that is centred on the individual
- Help people with autism, learning difficulties, and mental health problems
- Help with personal care when needed
- Encourage independence and skills for everyday living
- Help with medications (after training and respecting company rules)
- Help in getting to the community, making appointments, and doing social activities
- Keep care records that are correct and up to date
- Work together with families and health care workers
Requirements:
- Have worked with people with autism, learning impairments, and/or mental health problems in the past
- A full UK driver’s license
- You need to be able to drive your own car
- Good communication and people skills
- Can work alone and with others
- Kind, patient, and dependable
- The right to work in the UK
Wantable:
- A Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care (or working toward it)
- Experience in home care or supported living
- Understanding of how to support good behaviour
