Stores Operative/HGV Driver with UK Visa Sponsorship – NHS Wales Jobs 2026. Discover a powerful opportunity to work with NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, offering HGV driving roles, logistics responsibilities, and Health and Care visa sponsorship for eligible candidates.

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership provides Clinical Logistics Transport Service across all Health Boards in Wales via its Health Courier Service, and is recruiting an HGV Driver/Storekeeper to join this service situated in the Newport Area, serving South East Wales. The service typically delivers and collects more than 120,000 mail and medical note items each week, sorts (through its own mail sorting hubs), and transports more than 5 million blood product and pathology sample movements annually in compliance with Accord Dangereux Routier, Good Manufacturing Practice, and legal requirements.

HGV CAT C LICENSE AND CPC ARE NEEDED FOR THIS ROLE.

Responsibilities:

  • The safe and secure transportation, distribution, and replenishment of NHS Pathology, Blood/Blood Products, Secure and Non-Secure Stationery, Laundry, Mail/Records, and Stock items such as medical consumables (e.g. needles/syringes/containers) that are distributed to primary health care sites (hospitals, GP practices, pharmacies, opticians, dental surgeries) throughout NHS Wales.
  • Driving a selection of vans.
  • Taking care of clients.
  • Sound geographical knowledge of area served.

Qualifications & Knowledge:

  • HGV Cat C.
  • HGV CPC.
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • Moving & Handling and Awareness of Health and Safety.

Welsh language is preferred; both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged to apply.
