Responsibilities
- Ensure safety, security, and order inside the prison environment.
- Facilitate rehabilitation and positive outcomes for those in jail.

- Act as a peacekeeper, counsellor, or teacher as required during the day.
- Maintain teamwork and assist colleagues to keep the prison safe.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be 18 years old at the start of employment.
- Must meet the Civil Service nationality requirements.
- Must pass a medical and fitness assessment.
- Must meet the required vision standard in both eyes.
- Must have hearing to an acceptable standard without hearing aids.
- Must hold a suitable right to reside and work in the UK.
- Must undergo a Counter‑Terrorism Check (CTC) and prove 3 years' UK residency.
Benefits

Pay
