Baguley Pharmacy Manchester is looking for a qualified and patient‑motivated Pharmacist to join our developing, service‑led community pharmacy.

This is a clinical‑led post with a real emphasis on providing high quality NHS and private care.

We are offering UK Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for the right candidate but candidates must already be a fully qualified and registered Pharmacist with the GPh C.

This is a fantastic opportunity for chemists who wish to further enhance their clinical expertise in a forward‑thinking and friendly setting.

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescription drugs according to medical recommendations and legal requirements.
  • Provide drug information and counselling to patients about drug use, adverse effects, and drug interactions.
  • Observe the effects of drug treatments on patients and modify treatments as needed in consultation with healthcare experts.
  • Keep a complete record of medications delivered and patient interactions in accordance with data protection requirements.
  • Assist with medicine inventory management, including stock level monitoring and re‑ordering to assure availability of necessary drugs.
  • Educate patients regarding health issues and medication adherence in an effort to get the best health results.
  • Work with medical experts to create individualized treatment regimens tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
  • Comply with all applicable health‑care legislation, standards and best practices.
  • Clinical Services Delivery

Offer a full range of NHS services including

  • The Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS)
  • Structured medication reviews (where appropriate)
  • Seasonal immunisation programmes (flu, COVID‑19)
  • Private Services
  • Travel health advice and immunisations.
  • Private prescriptions (when eligible).
  • Health screen (risk of diabetes, cholesterol).
  • Care of the Patient
  • Offer specialist clinical guidance and pharmaceutical counselling.
  • Support people with mild illnesses and long‑term conditions.
  • Take a proactive stance to promote health and wellness.
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding principles.
  • Operations & Distribution
  • Ensure safe, accurate and effective dispensing.
  • Ensure compliance with GPh C standards and SOPs.
  • Support the day‑to‑day operation of the pharmacy.
  • Supervise and support the pharmacy team members.
  • Service Development
  • Support and grow clinical service delivery.
  • Support business growth and patient satisfaction.
  • Aim for service targets and KPIs.

Requirements

  • Must Have
  • Registered Pharmacist (GPh C – General Pharmaceutical Council)
  • Right to work in the UK under Skilled Worker visa (sponsorship available)
  • Patient‑centred approach and good clinical expertise
  • Excellent consulting and communication skills.
  • Confidence in providing NHS pharmacy services.

  • You are already registered with the GPh C.

  • Independent Prescriber qualification (or willingness to be trained)
  • Experience of the delivery of private services
  • Accreditation of vaccinations
