We are looking for a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to give high quality support to people in care homes and in their own homes. As a successful candidate you will be a key contributor in helping clients with daily tasks, keeping them comfortable, safe and well. This role allows you the ability to make a real impact to people’s lives via individualised care and assistance. Visa sponsorship candidates welcome.

Duties

  • Help clients with personal care duties, such as washing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist clients with mobility and Activities of Daily Living in accordance with specific care plans.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to create a positive atmosphere.
  • Medication reminders and basic health monitoring as appropriate.
  • Keep detailed records of care and any changes in the client’s health.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families and healthcare professionals to facilitate coordinated care.
  • Drive corporate cars to make house visits, as required, following all applicable driving laws.
  • Always follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for clients and staff.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is ideal; training will be provided.
  • Good verbal and written English communication abilities.
  • Basic IT abilities for reliable record keeping and documentation.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for occupations which include travel between client sites.
  • Good organizing abilities and able to follow care plans accurately.
  • Caring and sensitive disposition, excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work individually and within a team.
  • Can work varied shifts including mornings, afternoons or evenings as required.
