About this Job
We are looking for a caring and committed Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role you will be giving crucial support to patients in a home‑care environment. You will mostly be helping with activities of daily living, whilst making sure that they are comfortable and well. The successful applicant will need to have good communication skills and a genuine desire to serve people.
Duties
- Assist patients with personal hygiene needs such as washing, dressing and grooming.
- Help patients follow their regular routines and care plans.
- Observe the patient’s health status and report changes to the health care team.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to improve the quality of life of patients.
- Assist with mobility and transportation issues, including driving patients as needed.
- Provide and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and employees.
- Work collaboratively with other health experts to provide complete treatment.
Credentials
- Prior experience in home care or a comparable healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficient in IT for preserving patient records and documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to understand care plans and follow them accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to empathise with patient needs.
Driver Requirements and Visa Eligibility
- A full UK Driving Licence is essential.
- Candidates who can work for 3 months are eligible for sponsorship.
