At Apple Pharmacy in Craigend, we are looking for a driven and meticulous dispensing assistant to join our team. In this position, you will assist the pharmacy staff in providing our community with high-quality pharmaceutical services. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that drugs are administered effectively and safely while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.

Sponsorship is possible with a Skilled Worker visa.

Medication Dispensing
  • Under the guidance of a qualified chemist, assist with the precise preparation, marking, and dispensing of prescriptions.
Stock Management
  • Verify deliveries, ensure correct storage, and maintain up-to-date inventory records to control stock levels.
Compliance
  • Strictly abide by all applicable laws and regulations, including health and safety, confidentiality standards, and best pharmacy practices.
Administrative Support
  • Process transactions, maintain accurate records, and support administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and phone enquiries.
Quality Assurance
  • Ensure every dispensing area meets the pharmacy’s standards and remains tidy and well-organised.
Key Competencies and Qualifications
  • A dispensing qualification is preferable; if not, comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Excellent precision while managing drug labels, paperwork, and prescriptions.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken communication, capable of engaging with patients, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals efficiently.
  • Ability to set priorities, manage time efficiently, and perform under pressure in a hectic setting.
  • Proficiency with pharmaceutical management systems and conventional office applications; we employ Analyst PMR systems.
