Role Overview: An opportunity for a Senior Health Care Support Worker within the Cardiology Ward at the Royal Hospital for Children. We are searching for a passionate, highly motivated, dynamic and personable person with good communication and interpersonal skills who is willing to undertake continual development. All roles will be considered for sponsorship eligibility against current Home Office regulations. Only once these have been satisfied may NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

Working Hours: This is a part‑time role for 34.5 hours. 7 days rotating day shifts and night shifts are your working hours. This role will be based at the Royal Hospital for Children. Compensation is pro‑rata for part‑time hours. Work in unit 1E, a 14‑betted inpatient unit offering national cardiology treatment for children and young people across Scotland.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • SVQ Level 3 or equivalent award
  • Basic reading, writing, and maths
  • Past experience working with children
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills

Training Provided:

  • Vital signs recording
  • Care of pressure areas
  • Nasogastric feeding
  • Feeding through a gastrostomy
  • Handling by hand
