The Function
We are seeking a committed Assistant Service Manager to become a member of our Fulbourn supported living service’s leadership team. This position is quite unique since you will be working with a team to give person‑centred assistance to a guy with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) who is constantly joyful, enjoys having fun, enjoys hearing stories, and has a fantastic sense of humour.
Responsibilities
- Guarantee the provision of person‑centred assistance by managing a staff team and providing coaching.
- Guarantee that all services always have a safe number of employees.
- Maintain constant communication with the family and friends of the individuals we assist, as well as to communicate closely with other experts.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for employees.
- Take on on‑call duties (one week every three months) once your probationary period is up.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licence: Having access to your own vehicle that you are willing to use for business purposes is a prerequisite for obtaining a full UK driving licence.
- Flexibility: Different work schedules, such as the need for sleep‑ins and alternating weekends.
- Qualities: Strong coaching and communication abilities, as well as a flexible, proactive, and dynamic approach.
- Experience: Mentoring and team leadership, as well as experience helping individuals with autism and learning difficulties, are prerequisites.
- Qualifications: You will possess a recognised health and social care qualification.
- Right to Work: For individuals who already have a CoS, we are unable to provide a new one or more hours.
