34.5 hour contract at £13.50 per hour. Sponsorship subject to Home Office allocation.

What you will be doing:

  • Providing leadership to the care workers and supervising the efficient functioning of the service during the night.
  • Overseeing personnel who provide clients with support while they complete everyday routines, such as bathing, eating, dressing, grooming and using the bathroom.
  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each service user, updating care records to reflect any changes, and communicating changes to the registered nurse.
  • Administering medication in accordance with the agency’s policies and supporting service users with their medication needs.
  • Acting as a point of contact for families and professionals, ensuring that reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns are raised.
  • Organising supervision and appraisals for care personnel, rota planning to ensure there are suitable staff on duty with the necessary skill mix.
  • Audit care records against corporate policy to ensure compliance.

What we are looking for:

  • Level 3 Health and Social Care Vocational Qualification.
  • Experience of working in a similar position and setting.
  • Experience of working with service users, especially those with significant assistance needs.
  • Good writing and verbal English skills, with the ability to interact effectively with the multi-disciplinary team, service users and their families.
  • A caring problem solver, who can adjust swiftly to conditions and create measures to enhance health and welfare.
  • A leader who can induct and orientate new personnel to the job function.
