Summary

To give our incredible service users the crucial support and help they need, we are looking for kind and committed healthcare assistants and senior carers. The ideal applicant will have a solid background in helping elderly and vulnerable people, including work in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home care and domiciliary care settings, or live-in care arrangements. You will contribute significantly to improving our customers’ quality of life by providing them with individualised care and companionship while assisting them in achieving autonomous healthcare results thanks to your experience and our ongoing training.

Duties

  • Give clients personal care and support, including help with everyday tasks like clothing, grooming, and bathing.
  • Give clients their medications as directed and keep an eye out for any changes in their health.
  • When necessary, help with food preparation and make sure clients are getting enough nutrients.
  • Create and carry out individualised care plans, using behaviour management techniques as needed.
  • To encourage mental health, provide company and involve clients in social activities.
  • Carry out simple housekeeping tasks to keep the client area tidy and safe.
  • When necessary, provide clients with mobility help, including heavy lifting.
  • Accurately record patient care actions while protecting client confidentiality.
  • Work together with medical specialists to guarantee thorough customer case management.

Experience

  • It is recommended if you have prior experience providing homecare services or a similar profession, especially in senior care settings like assisted living or nursing homes.
  • Readiness and willingness to get training in the event that one has no prior experience providing domestic care.
  • It helps to know the fundamentals of first aid procedures.
  • It is very desirable to have prior experience caring for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s.
  • When it comes to delivering clients as needed, a valid driver’s license is ideal. If you live nearby, this might not apply to you.
  • Success in this position requires the ability to establish relationships with clients and have strong communication skills. People who are enthusiastic about delivering top-notch care and improving the lives of others are encouraged to apply.
