We are looking for caring and committed care workers to help those who need help with everyday tasks. This position is essential to improving our clients’ quality of life, especially for elderly people, those with disabilities, and people in need of specialised care. In a variety of settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and clients’ homes, you will be essential to providing individualised care as a care worker.
Duties- Assist clients with personal care and support, such as clothing, grooming, and bathing.
- Give prescription drugs as directed and keep an eye out for any behavioural or health changes in your clients.
- Help prepare meals and make sure clients are getting enough nutrients.
- Involve clients in worthwhile activities to foster mental and social stimulation.
- Assist clients with transfers and mobility, including heavy lifting when required.
- Keep thorough client care records and notify the manager or supervisory nurse of any issues.
- To improve clients’ wellbeing, offer emotional support and friendship.
- Use behaviour management techniques when necessary for individuals who face particular difficulties, such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
- When necessary, transport clients to social events or appointments.
- It is very desired to have prior expertise in caring, assisted living, nursing homes, or comparable professions.
- Understanding of the principles of dementia care and hospice care, among other senior care techniques.
- First Aid certification is ideal, however training can be given as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to establish rapport with clients and their families.
- When transporting clients, having a current driver’s license is beneficial.
- The capacity to carry out large lifting duties efficiently and safely.
