Job Overview:

- Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations and growth of the assisted living program and to fill in when the Operations Manager is not present.
- Staff Management and Supervision: Help oversee and support care workers with direction, encouragement, and performance evaluations.
- Care Planning and Delivery: Ensure person-centred care plans are created, implemented, and regularly reviewed to meet residents’ needs.
- Maintain high standards of care, promote safety and dignity, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and policies.
- Deputise for the Registered Manager when necessary.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including families, commissioners, and the CQC.
- Support service development through staff training and fostering positive outcomes for residents.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed to protect residents’ safety and wellbeing.
Proficiency and Background:
- Experience with complex mental health services, including LD and autism, and assisted living.
- Level 3 qualification in social and health care or equivalent experience with mental health, autism, or learning disabilities in supported living.
- Leadership and supervisory skills to guide and motivate care staff.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, staff, and external partners.
- Knowledge of relevant laws such as the Mental Capacity Act.
- Commitment to person-centred care respecting residents’ rights and choices.
