We are looking for a kind and dedicated woman to work as a Community Support Assistant and help people in the community who need assistance. The person who gets the job will have worked in community-based or outreach care, really care about helping people, and be able to promote dignity, independence, and well-being.

You will help people with everyday tasks, getting around in the community, taking their medicine, and giving them both physical and emotional support according to their person-centred care plans:

  • Help with personal care, such as washing, dressing, grooming, and helping with incontinence.
  • Help in making meals and making sure that dietary preferences are followed.
  • Give medication on time and/or according to the treatment plan.
  • Help people safely get to their neighbourhood, go to appointments, and do activities that are important to them.
  • Promote self-reliance and confidence while making sure that safety and dignity are always upheld.
  • Keep clients’ homes clean, safe, and healthy.
  • Keep precise notes and let someone know right once if your health or situation changes.
  • Make sure you have honest, respectful connections with your customers and their families.
  • Travel between client visits in a timely, safe, and professional way.

It would be great if you have expertise in community care, outreach work, or home support. You should be sure in your ability to provide personal and practical care, have an understanding of the concepts of person-centred care, confidentiality, and safeguarding, and possess a basic understanding of how to give first aid and handle medications. Good communication skills and the ability to work alone and with a team are essential.

Only women can apply for this job because it entails providing personal care to women who have asked for same-gender care for reasons of privacy and dignity. If you successfully complete a probationary period and show that you are a good fit for the job, you may be able to get sponsorship for a full-time position. We would love to hear from you if you want to be part of a caring and professional team and are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.
